Ingredients

  • 2 large potatoes
  • 250g beef mince
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 large tomatoes
  • 125ml dry white wine
  • 150g Dodoni Feta
  • 125ml milk
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • Sweet paprika
  • Nutmeg
  • Butter for brushing the potatoes

Process

  • Preheat the oven at 200°C. Wash the potatoes well, cover with aluminium foil and cook in the oven for 50 minutes
  •  In a pan, heat the butter and milk and slowly crumble in the Dodoni Feta, stirring until combined. Add pepper and paprika and set aside
  •  Finely chop the onion and saute with salt, pepper and nutmeg in olive oil. Add the minced beef, chopped garlic and bay leaf and cook well at a high heat. Add the wine and cook for a further 4-5 minutes before adding the chopped tomatoes. Cover with a lid and cook for about an hour at a low to medium heat
  •  When the potatoes reach 50 minutes, remove the foil and bake for another 15 minutes to get a crispy crust. When ready, remove from the oven, cut lengthwise, add salt and brush with butter
  •  Add the cooked beef and pour the delicious Dodoni Feta sauce on top to add a Greek twist to this perfect winter warmer. Sprinkle with paprika

Top Tip: The Feta sauce can be added to other winter favourites including pasta dishes, tasty cauliflower cheese or even upgrade your favourite burger recipe
